Optimum Allied Health Opens New Tweed Heads Clinic Despite COVID-19!

Optimum Allied Health, a multi-disciplinary allied health business has opened a purpose-built health clinic in Tweed Heads South to expand their services to the community. “We are very excited” Said Dane Mitchell, Director of Optimum Allied Health. “We have been building our community, NDIS and residential aged care service in Tweed and the Southern Gold Coast for 3 years now and adding a multi-disciplinary clinic was the obvious next step.”

Mr. Mitchell was buoyant about their business prospects despite the challenges of COVID-19. “Whilst we face similar challenges to all business at the moment, there is still a strong need for health care services. We have been pleasantly surprised by the uptake of both home-visit, telehealth and in-clinic services despite the obvious concerns about COVID-19. Our team are acutely aware and have all undertaken training in infection control and COVID-19 risk management to make our clinic and home-visits as safe as possible.”

“We have an experienced team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, podiatrists, speech pathologists and exercise physiologists” Mr. Mitchell explained. “they work both in-clinic, in the community (visit you in your own home) and now, with COVID-19, via telehealth. What we do is an essential service and we can now provide that safely for those who need to isolate at the moment. We are looking forward to expanding the referring relationships we have with GP clinics, NDIS providers, aged care providers and of course, our patients." Said Mitchell.
